Cheers to 2022!!

Once upon a time, I wrote this food and travel blog. Then I added cooking classes and food demonstrations to my repertoire, as well as catering occasionally. Then I started writing cookbooks (see titles and purchase links to the right of this column). That added book signing events and cooking segments on cable TV programs to promote the cookbooks (see TV segments in the column to the right). ⇒ ⇒ ⇒

The pandemic and a shattered knee cap slowed me down a little while I was in the midst of finishing the cookbook From Vine to Table: Everything Tomatoes, The Fruit of Love.

THEN I started writing my third book in the Vine to Table series and realized there just wasn’t any more time in my day, week, year, LIFE to continue the blog on a weekly basis and write this next book.

So what to do? After a lot of thought and deliberation, I decided my time and energy would be focused on the book, From Vine to Table: Food and Wine Pairings of the Willamette Valley in 2022. 

What does this mean for you? I will be focusing on the new book and NOT writing the food and travel blog regularly in 2022.  However, all the information posted in this blog is still available to you! All the prior food and travel posts date back to the inception of this blog in 2016. And I hope to occasionally add a recipe or a travel adventure in 2022, so stay tuned!

So let the research, visiting wineries, meeting wine owners and winemakers, TASTING, creating food pairings, begin!! Did I mention TASTING?
